Do you like traditional Irish music? Do you play in a session, and would like to try backing it with piano? Or maybe you already play keyboard at church or in a non-Irish context and want to learn how to play along with the flutes and fiddles in a bona fide Irish pub seisiún. Either way, this course is for you. You’ll learn patterns for accompanying the two most common tune types — jigs and reels — and how to pick out the chords to a tune by ear, even if you’ve never heard it before. Some previous musical experience is recommended.
